News News News

Many things have happened since the last update of this blog which have resulted in the change of location. We are still in Loxahatchee, FL but now sharing 10 acres + of gorgeous real estate with an amateur horse rescue operation (IE: they don't do this with the soul intent of "flipping" their horses). We now have gorgeous pasture with access to miles of trails and only a quick trailer ride from Wellington. We also have two brand new additions to the herd; Asia who's a gorgeous fleabitten gray arabian mare and Tessa who's an 8 year old off the track TB mare. Both of them have come a long way and Tessa has started training as a jumper and being taught some lower level dressage for fun. Asia is being ridden by Kimmy and is available for adoption.

We will be showing art again at the Acreage Chilli Cook Off/Festival on April 25th and 26th where the public will have an opportunity to win a covetted commission slot for a personal model of their horse or the horse of their dreams. $5 a ticket and the winner will be drawn on Sunday night after the festivities are over. for $3 a ticket someone can bid on a rare piece of canvas work. I say rare because there's only a handful of canvas paintings done by me in the world. All proceeds go directly to the care of the horses.

We will also be seen out and about at upcoming shows this local show circuit season with Tessa, Wes, Jeze, and possibly even Dolly who's been taught bits and pieces of showmanship and "Halter" the past few months. With a bit of luck our thoughts on retraining her as a riding horse will pay off and her confidence in us will allow us to do this. We started her originally shortly after acquiring her and were deeply set back by a near fatal car accident. Time will tell but we're INCREDIBLY excited!

Hope everyone had a happy and safe Easter!

Home Sweet Home!

After a ton of searching (most of it soul searching) we've finally found our new home! Out Foxed Ranch is now situated on 3 pristine acres in rare seclusion but oh so close to so many amenties (we're only 2 1/2 mins from Publix, Pizza, Chinese, Hardware, and oh so nummy Carribean food!!! and 5 from Red Barn! YAY!). The barn needs some finishing touches and we have many many plans for the property which include the redrafting of the riding arena which will include it's expansion to add quite a bit of room to it plus the finishing of another paddock and two back stalls. Life will be good. House warming will probably be this weekend as we settle in and break ground on new projects and get ready for season and the holidays. It's such a lovely little farm. I only hope for the best!

Currently looking for a boarder and/or training client as well as really decent and CONSISTANT Orchard Hay. Any takers? We'll buy in bulk! (the hay, not the boarder ;) lol!)

Oooo what else... OH! After the arena's completely finished we're going to think about holding a small schooling show or a clinic just to kick the place off a bit.

AND AND AND! We have a professional photographer coming to capture a photo story of the rescue troop for his editorial on the importance of horse rescue, especially rescued Thoroughbreds! Wes will get his first starring role! YAY!

Check back frequently for updates!

IMPORTANT DATES:
November 15th; we'll be selling art at the Acreage Fall Festival! Be sure to come by our booth for info about the farm as well!
